Change to batting policy

As my business continues to grow my storage capabilities are getting very strained.  For this reason I am no longer going to be accepting outside batting.  I carry a full array of quality battings and charge by the inch to help reduce the amount of extra you end up with.  I have:

  • 100% cotton
  • 80/20 cotton/poly in natural and black
  • 50/50 cotton/bamboo
  • 100% bamboo
  • Washable wool
  • I also have the ability to obtain others if requested.

Social distancing

After pandemic lockdowns, even though many things have opened up, I’m still limiting contact with people to interactions on my front porch, instead of inviting a stream of folks into my studio. Since we’re outside, I won’t require you to wear a mask for that quick interaction, but will be happy to wear one when we talk if you prefer.

I’m trying to offer alternatives for you for us to work together to make creative decisions. I’ve had good success with emailing pattern suggestions and helping to make thread decisions. It is still important to me to honor that your quilt is your quilt.

  • You can leave a quilt on my porch as long as you ring the bell or text me so I know it’s there.
  • I can meet you at my front door after you ring the doorbell or text me.
  • I can come outside to your car and get your quilt from you.
  • If you’re thinking of mailing or shipping your quilt, I must ask you to please get a tracking number and send it to me. Otherwise it’s very stressful for both of us when days pass and we don’t know if there’s been a problem somewhere.

After nearly three years working at Colorado Fabrics (a wonderful store, sadly now closed), I met so many of the best customers around, and really want to say how much I appreciate being able to work with such creative people.
